Casa Vieja Lodge Celebrates October Grand Slams

October Ends With Grand Slams

For the second consecutive year Contender Boats hosted their Top Dealer Trip Oct 17-21st at Casa Vieja Lodge. It was a group of colleagues, both new and old friends, and a fantastic time of fishing in between the fun! The group opted for some extra activities to complement their fishing days with a casino night, pig roast, yoga, beach day, and fireworks spectacular!

Capt. Terry Brennan

For those who didn’t get a chance to meet him last season, we’d like to reintroduce Capt. Terry Brennan who will be at the helm Rum Line this season. Last season, Capt. Terry filled in for the Poco Loco and Rum Line when rest was needed. Don’t fear the beard, he’s just as salty as them all, and has both patience and enthusiasm to put up the daily numbers.

Capt. Terry is originally from New Jersey and Manteo, NC has been “home” for him for 20 years. He brings with him years of private charter boat experience from the waters of OBX, South Florida, Kona, Bermuda, Dominican Republic, and the list goes on. In Guatemala, he is excited about the new dynamic of lodge-life, the rockstar fishing, and calm waters.

“The past year has been full of great experiences, time on the water with David, Chris and Nicho had been invaluable (one should never stop learning), two grand slams, more sailfish then I’d ever seen before, made a lot of new friends and ran into old ones.  At Casa Vieja, I’ve crossed paths with friends and acquaintances from North Carolina, Florida, Bermuda, Ascension, Costa Rica,  and California… Guatemala is a destination that every fisherman goes to.”

Plan a Vacay From Your Vacay

For those that love January fishing, we have some great news. This is the first time in 10 years these dates are available to the public. We have available January 2-6th for you! Start 2020 off by getting a vacation from your vacation. Everyone needs a break after the holiday season with your friends & family. No better place to do that than on the water at Casa Vieja Lodge.

For the past 10 years, these dates have been reserved for the prestigious Jake Jordan Invitational Sailfish Fly Challenge. This fly fishing tournament has produced the most amount of billfish on the fly compared to any other fly tournament! What makes this possible? Casa Vieja Lodge with our double-digit raises.

Historically, January has produced record-breaking numbers. Now it is YOUR chance to get in on the action in January. What better way to start your New Year than with more fishing as your New Years’ resolution. No need to wait, start your year off with a bang & check it off your bucket list!
