Baby Sailfish – Small Frys
This Atlantic Baby Sailfish Small Frys came into the lights while swordfishing at night. You’ll often find juvenile sails running with the Gulf Stream, especially around the Florida Straits, a known nursing ground.
It’s very difficult to tell the various billfish apart at this young age, but we’re pretty positive this is another sailfish, a bit older than the previous picture. However, that pointed dorsal fin makes us wonder if it’s not a marlin…
