Simms Supports Casting For Recovery

Simms donates

This October, Simms is urging anglers to fish more and show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a limited edition line of gear to commemorate the month-long event.

Profits from the line of apparel and accessories will benefit Casting for Recovery®, an organization that enhances the quality of life of women with breast cancer through a unique program that combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.

It is the third year in a row Simms has raised funds for the organization.

“It is important for the entire team here at Simms to promote the healing powers of fishing.  A great example of this is the tremendous work done by Casting for Recovery®,” says Diane Bristol, Sr. Director, Employee & Community Engagement.  “This new line of limited edition apparel has been carefully developed to engage fly anglers around the world in this cause.”

The collection consists of seven (7) products, all custom designed for this collection.  The collection is led by the Casting for Recovery SolarFlex® ($49.95) and Women’s Casting for Recovery SolarFlex® ($49.95).  The Casting for Recovery Bounty Hunter Dry Bag ($29.95) is the perfect bag to carry gear to and from the water while the Casting for Recovery Flask ($29.95) is the perfect on-water companion.  Both the Bag and the Flask include the Casting for Recovery logo.

Three headwear pieces round out the line, including the Casting For Recovery WINDSTOPPER® Guide Beanie ($24.95) for coldweather; the Casting for Recovery Single Haul Cap featuring the Simms Fish icon in pink ($24.95); and the Casting for Recovery SunGaiter(tm) ($29.95) with UPF 50 technology.

All products will ship directly from Bozeman for a limited time and are available only at https://www.simmsfishing.com/shop/casting-for-recovery.html.

All profits from the sale will go to the Manchester, VT, based non-profit Casting for Recovery® which since has conducted over 550 retreats for over 7,500 women with breast cancer.  For more information, visit castingforrecovery.org.
