California Yellowtail Ceviche: Video Recipe

BD Contributor Alex Danko is here to show us one of his favorite ways to prepare freshly caught California Yellowtail. This Yellowtail ceviche is rich in flavor, aesthetically beautiful, and packed with flavor. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or make homemade tostadas and load them up!

This is an extremely simple and efficient way to prepare California Yellowtail, a pelagic species that we are lucky enough to have access to year round. You can also substitute other white fish for this recipe and achieve the same result. This Yellowtail was caught in the offshore waters of San Diego and filleted by our team with one of our all-around favorite fillet knives, the Dexter Outdoors Dextreme Single Edge 8″ Max Flex. Dexter offers a huge variety of fillet knives, so no matter what fishery you’re in, there will be an option that works well for you.
