The Pacific Coast Sportfishing Festival will be taking place and the O.C. Fairgrounds on April 5th and 6th.
The swordfishing experts of “Team Booby Trap” will be there giving an in-depth, two part seminar on swordfishing and how to apply it to southern California waters.
Also check out all the latest tackle and boats as vendors show off their fishing and boating products.
The Booby Trap fishing team hails from Texas, where Capt. Brett Holden and his team have been setting and breaking records for size and numbers of swordfish for years. In 2012, the Booby Trap team caught 172 swordfish in 41 days of fishing. They also hold the Texas State Record of 493 pounds.
They have travelled the world to prove their tactics work all over. Last year they fished two days in SoCal and hooked two giants. One they fought for 14 hours, only to come off just before the leader. The next day they lost one after a 24-hour battle. They are coming back to settle the score.
Be a part of this rare opportunity to glean knowledge from such experienced crews. Part one of their seminar will be on Saturday April 5th at 10:30 AM. Part two will follow on Sunday April 6th, at 12:30 PM.
