O. Mustad and Son, makers of Mustad hooks and accessories have recently announced the Jordan Davis will become Mustad’s President, Americas and will report to the CEO.

mustad hooksJordan will be responsible for strengthening the organization, preparing the Americas’ market operation for expansion and future merger and acquisition opportunities, as well as leading Mustad’s growth initiatives within the region.

Prior to accepting this position, Jordan served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at the Remington Outdoor Company (ROC). He brings the necessary experience and proven track record of success in the sporting goods market, which will be invaluable in meeting Mustad’s goals and objectives.

Mustad hooks has been synonymous with fishing for over 140 years, so the privilege of being able to steward such a brand is humbling. As a part of the strategy going forward the Dominican Republic Operation will report to VP Logistics and IT, Freddy Johnsen. Freddy will also serve as the site manager for the Miami location and continue to support the Americas operation in daily operations and strategic projects.

An outdoor sporting goods industry professional of over 14 years, Jordan has held a number of positions for both industry retailers and manufacturers, including roles in buying, sales, merchandising, business development, and marketing. Most recently, Jordan held the position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at the Remington Outdoor Company (ROC). There, he combined a passion for leadership and team building with cross functional experience in sales, marketing, finance, operations, and information technologies to successfully improve consumer sentiment, brand affinity, and overall revenue.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jordan is an avid outdoorsman, having grown up in the foothills of Oregon’s Cascade mountains, fishing and hunting with his father, grandfather, and friends. As an ardent proponent of sustainability and the North American model of conservation, he maintains lifetime and supporting level memberships with a variety of conservation groups, including Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, and the Boone and Crockett Club.

Jordan is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northwest Christian University (NCU), holding a BA in Business Administration with majors in both Marketing and Business Management. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Northwest Christian University, with the target of an August 2018 graduation date. Current honors include membership in NCU’s chapter of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society of Business, Management, and Administration. Following graduation, Jordan hopes to enter into a Doctoral candidacy with concentrations in Business Leadership and Organizational Behavior.
