Waypoint TV

BD Staff tried out the service, first exploring the Waypoint channels on a Mac laptop, then easily loading the streaming channel onto Roku and getting the free Waypoint app with an Apple 8 S Plus phone (the app is definitely a better choice than the mobile website).

Waypoint TV features a full slate of both fishing and hunting shows in the TV program form, short films and full-length films. There’s a strong emphasis on saltwater content, making our favorite show, Local Knowledge, a perfect fit!

Local Knowledge just debuted its fifth season April 5 on Discovery (7 a.m. Sundays) as BD’s own Ali Hussainy and Florida-based guide Capt. Rush Maltz headed back out of San Diego for some bluefin tagging justice. This time around, the kite-bite doesn’t disappoint!

And getting back to cutting the cord, make sure your TV streaming package includes the Discovery Channel so you can catch all the first runs of the fifth season of Local Knowledge.

Take advantage of the short free trial periods providers offer to make sure you settle on the right combination at the right price. This reviewer found youtube.tv to be the best fit, especially with the built-in DVR and multiple device options included in the price.

Remember, catch up with every episode of Local Knowledge on Waypoint TV and be sure to tune in to Discovery Sunday mornings at 7 to get in on the latest Local Knowledge saltwater adventure.
