Kiddie Recalls Faulty Fire Extinguishers

Recalls Faulty Fire Extinguishers

Whether you are cleaning your boat up from an epic season or just breaking it out for spring, take a moment to check your fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.

Recalls Faulty Fire Extinguishers

I mention fire extinguishers in particular because Boat U.S. has just circulated a voluntary recall being made by Kiddie for certain models during a specific time frame.

Check the manufactured date stamped into the bottle to compare it to those being recalled.

The problem has been a faulty valve that prevents the full discharge of the unit.

The problem units were made in Mexico between July 23,2013 and October 15, 2014.

For more specifics on the recall and instructions for checking your fire extinguishers, go to the Consumer Product Safety Commission site for more detail.

While you’re at it, go ahead and check the rest of your safety equipment. Time flies when your having fun, so those flares you think you just bought might be long out of date.
