Marolina Outdoor Inc. is enthused to announce the purchase of Jose Wejebe’s 34′ SeaVee in early April, to keep the legend of Jose and Spanish Fly alive. Partnering with SeaVee, Raymarine, Mercury, Costa, and Shimano, this iconic boat has been restored to its original beauty. The boat will make the rounds of upcoming tradeshows and then return to its home in Key West Harbor Yacht Club where it will continue Jose’s work via the Jose Wejebe Spanish Fly Memorial Foundation, which makes fishing dreams come true for children, and veterans. By making these dreams come true, our fishing trip recipients experience the healing powers of the ocean the “Spanish Fly” way.

Ben Verner, Josh Reed and Jason Hart who had a long career at one of the top performance apparel companies in the world, founded Marolina Outdoor Inc. From their experience, they bring deep-seated expertise in technical apparel and intimate knowledge of the outdoor industry. Their insight and understanding of consumers and opportunity in the outdoor industry created a company that brings authentic and innovative designs that are technologically focused to the market.
Marolina Outdoor has partnered with Spanish Fly to continue the great work of the legendary José. Ben Verner, like so many others, grew up watching Jose on TV, inspiring them in their love of fishing and career choices. Ben had the opportunity to work with Jose on earlier projects and they became friends, making a pact to create the best line of gear and apparel available. With the tragic loss of Jose, Ben is honoring Jose’s memory by starting Marolina and partnering with the Jose Wejebe Spanish Fly Memorial Foundation. Come check them out at ICAST booth 2600 or online at Marolina.com.
