Giant Wels Catfish is Potential record in Spain

Saltwater is not the only place to catch a giant fish. Spain’s Ebro River is where Catmaster Tours takes adventuring anglers to tangle with a giant Wels catfish and huge carp. British angler,

Bernie Campbell was fishing with Catmasters when he caught and released this 206 pound, 8 foot long Wels catfish.

He fought it for about 30 minutes before releasing it. It will be a possible record fish from this river known to produce giants. His fish was more unique as it was a Mandarin catfish, which are half albino. Many giants are caught and released by clients of Catmaster Tours. Most fishing is done from the bank, though a boat is used by the guides to deploy the baits out in the pools where these giant cats live.
