Headed out of the Zancudo Lodge with capitan cholo, the lodge owner Gregg and their friend Juan on one of the 32 contenders. Made bait in about an hour, all blue runners. Ran offshore looking for tuna and using the raymarine radar on the boat we were able to pick up a couple birds circling holding spinner dolphin and tuna underneath. tried on both schools with poppers and live bait but no luck. Gave our coordinates to a smaller boat in the area and continued running offshore. 30 minutes later we hear the other boat on the radio hooking up on the previous school, we turned around and high tailed it back for wide open tuna fishing all day. Poppers and live bait with nice grade of fish up to 110-115#. Most fish in the 45-75# range. even managed a nice dorado on a popper which was a first for me. all four of us got our limits and headed back around 2:30. Shared the fish with everyone at the lodge and in town!! what an amazing day!! d667e1a4-d5a6-4225-b968-bbf44da7eccf.jpg 5091ad36-674e-4c91-a2f9-5da1f49775d4.jpg 71eb3e36-be7d-4609-9cd7-78d14a258ae1.jpg 35fcf91c-c9de-442e-bfcb-431a4fc9a815.jpg be141c20-b181-43fd-a0c0-bc67dada4d47.jpg 2454c11d-0f7b-4871-ab82-7a6b6ad17856.jpg 8fa37a0a-b2d1-4c24-a0c4-aa426dae3a24.jpg
