Well this will go against the grain. The reason is it is not expensive, or is it a big name rod. My go to is a Okuma Cortez rod CZ-C-701Ha, with a Andros A-5IIa.
The combo is so lite and comfortable to fish you just don't want to put it down. My opinion like all opinions should be just a starting point. Go check out stuff at a reputable "Tackle store", not some where like Bass Pro.

I like my 6470 Super Seekers paired with Avet 6/3 JX and Avet 6/3LX reels. My Calstar 700Hs are a close second.

    Lets see, I have 3 favorite 40lb sticks, Black Truline DM7, XR7, & a Chocolate Sabre 670. The XR wears a 25nld2-40lb, Sabre & Dm7 both get Saltist 30t's. Ed

7’ is a greenie 6470 and an MXL Raptor. It’s mostly a loaner for me now though as I rarely fish a 7’ rod for 40 or 50 now. It’s all 8’ and up for me.

I'm with Robert, I seldom fish 7' now, but I've been very successful with a Seeker Black Steel Graphite G6470 20-50 using 40# on a TRQ40NLD2. A serious yellowtail and school tuna rig. The reel is mostly on a Shimano Teramar TMC76XH nowadays, it is lighter and casts better in my old age.

'My SS 6470 started out as 7' but I had a few inches taken off the but when it was wrapped. Deckhand style with a daiwa saltist 40ld. Else a 700MH.
