Well, we qualified 9th in a field of 24 cars - track was the muddiest. stickyest we'd ever seen...after MAJOR setup changes to accommodate the track conditions we headed out in the 3rd spot in the first 10 lap heat race - by lap 5 we were contesting for the lead and as we exited turn 4 something went bad, real bad....
Here's a shot of the clean car, the muddy car and our demise for the evening. We'll be starting at the back of the "B" main tonight and I'm fairly confident that we have the car to advance to the show...we'll see.

It's allways something on a race car. Good luck this season I'm thinking about coming out but I'd probably want to buy one. Still have the racing suit, boots, helmet in the garage just in case.

Steve, looks like a rotor failure? I had one come apart and hit Cajon turn 3 wall head on at very high speed. Bent both clips and bowed the center section, race car was junk.

After that we checked rotors after every race, ANY crack or heat check and we threw them out or after 5 races no matter what. Course that was asphalt and yours should last much longer.

    You're killing me.

Back to the thread. Is it an aluminum hub and rotor?
There was a lot of grip and torque because of the sticky track and sometimes aluminum doesn't hold up. Have fun out there.
