Offshore YFT and Dodo 9/25

Knew the weather wasnt going to be pretty, but this was the only day schedule allowed in the last 3 weeks. Headed out of Newport around 6:15am. Headed towards Mackerel bank and plan was to then ride swells down to 289. On the way out we saw a boat fighting a marlin. Saw a couple jumps, which was really cool.

Found a patty about 8 miles up from the 289. Threw bait, saw dorados. Get picked up and it turned out to be a YFT. Then did some more passes and then got picked up by a dorado. Tried to find some more fish. Found one other patty holding but not biting. Headed home around 12:00. Pretty rough, but great day on the water.
