After running south Friday night and hitting the 209/181/182 Saturday for one nice Bluefin we ended up at San Clemente for Sunday night through Monday morning. Monday morning with ice chests full of rockfish we headed home. Eight miles North of Pyramid we picked up a school and bagged a 50lb Yellowfin on the troll. Jigs back out and twenty minutes later we're hit again by a really big fish that we couldn't slow down before the hook pulled. Jigs back in the water. Rounded Catalina, reeled in and headed home to Huntington. Fifteen miles South of the harbor entrance (around 7:30pm now) we picked up another pod of dolphins and saw birds crashing ahead. Big boils ahead of us, tuna everywhere, a couple flashed by under the boat. We had a fuel blockage issue at the tank pickup that was now keeping us down to a sloppy 7 knots and were more interested in getting home than picking up one more fish.

June 1st and tuna within range of the local half-day boats!
