298A41B8-C7AE-46F7-ACC5-88A5536371E9.jpeg Well, once again this season proves that it is much different than the previous years, as I see that yellowfin have turned up in the counts already. The weather pattern has been typical of El Niño with a lot of rain during winter and spring, and while it doesn’t appear to me that the water temps from below are excessively warm, the fact that yellowfin have moved into range seems to support that premise.

It’s going to be interesting to watch this season unfold and see how it stacks up when it is all said and done.

:D I hope the questionable fisherman is compelled to host another Wahoo tournament in San Diego again this year.

Are they at the upper 9? Or where are they showing. Haven't seen anything on fishdope but I have seen the counts.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping they were at the 9. debating on hitting the 9 or the 371 on the 17th. Guess we'll see how it plays out.

I saw a photo of a YF caught last week on a private boat and it looked to be in the high 30's. Is that the average?
