very tired, but I wanted to get you guys the poop. We decided that we were going to follow the sporties down to the hidden bank today. Their counts were good and we thought we might see some bigger yellow fin. Nope, cruised by 20 to 30 paddies all holding nothing. Listened to boats all day saying they could not get the fish to surface. Working back northwest we went just west of the 371 and found two paddies holding 100's of rat yellows. Bait in and you were bit. We could see larger ones chasing the rats but none would take whatever we threw at them. Finally I decided to do the old egg sinker Carolina keeper trick and bam. Hit with a larger fish...fight on. We got color and it was a 15 pound yellow fin. So, bigger sinker, really fresh bait, down deep and broke off on the 20 pound. Went to 30 and tried again. We landed seven 15-20 pound yellow fin and had to release close to two dozen or more rats. I called out the numbers to help other guys and even invited the point Loma to join us...but no takers. Weather started out flats, got a little heavy in the am but laid down really nice. Good luck guys
