ive got an ‘04 225hp Yamaha on my Parker. I’d like to have it gone thru with a fine tooth comb and have it scopes for the possibility of the corrosion issue. Preferably in the Ventura county area but could go as far as San Pedro or northern oc. Any suggestions for a trustworthy operation?
    Thanks

I really like Inflatable Boat Specialists in Oxnard. I’ve used all the other local shops in Oxnard and Ventura and NOBODY compares. My ‘06 Yammie 225 has never run better. Pacific marine has a cool owner but the front desk people are terrible and rude and they’re backed up for months, not to mention they aren’t that thorough... just sayin...call Inflatable and you won’t be sorry

Thumbs up for Pacific Marine, yes they are busy (for a reason) but if you plan ahead and make an appointment it’s no problem.

Mickdick, have you had your ‘06 inspected for the corrosion issue?

I have and its all good. I think Yamaha rectified the issue right before releasing my model(F225).
The reason that I don't like Pacific is that I had an ongoing saga of fuel related issues that they could never figure out. Cost me thousands upon thousands. Then I took it to Inflateable and they found an inline filter that was the culprit. Unbelievably corroded! Although Pacific worked on my boat about 6 times(each costing from $600-$3000) they could never figure it out. Again the owner Alan is a nice guy but the ladies in the front are downright rude! Even after I had been there a bunch they were still rude to me. So for Larry, yes its good to plan ahead for scheduled maintenance but break downs occur that you can't plan for, and they're so over booked that you could stand to miss a whole season because of this.
Customer service is is a big deal and the people in the office are the face of the company. They're so busy that its been put on the back burner, which is unfortunate to say the least.
