I had the great opportunity to fish with some fantastic fisherman in LAhaina. There is a big difference between Chartering with Professionals and those with tourist traps. START ME UP is definitely one of the most professional operations in the Business. And they just want to have fun!

To top it off, we had two days of a DODO bite, smallest in the low 20's but the majority in the 30 and 40lb range.

First up on the rotation was 14 year old Gideon Simon. Multi - skilled and star athlete but the first time out on the water chasing monsters. He laid in to a over 40lb Mahi Mahi that 6 hours later at the dock weighed in at just over 42....

All in all, the crew and Captains were fantastic. I have taken some of the tourist traps out there in Hawaii and this group is by far the best Sportsfishing Charter outfit....THEY GET BAIT AT MIDNIGHT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE... First Class!

More pics to come, but attached a pic of that best Gid took down...

    Aloha

Matt, too many weird things happen when people stop by to see you. The last time you were in my neighborhood, you said to stop by, and it was a fourteen hour drive--one way!
Not to mention having to dodge dead bodies left on the road by the Yakuza (unfortunately I am not joking), making us late for our appointment with the fishes.
    But fun did we have.

That is a huge dorado, and even bigger smile of the angler's face.
What a way to start a fishing career.

I think he got them in Yuba City.

Hell, it that is what it takes to catch 40 pound dorado, I'm in (If they make a size 15, that is)[IMG]
