I don't think I have ever seen a grafighter 100J. I checked the Calstar catalog and they don't show a grafighter 100J and I checked Charkbait and they don't show one either. Are you referring to an e glass rod like the west coast series or does Calstar make a 10' grafighter jig blank that they don't list in the catalog.

Johnny's Sport Shop in Pasadena has a blank.

They HAD two but I grabbed one. Great rod.

I don't like the small stripper guide on the factory rod. I think it's a size 20.

The catalog I have is several years old. I looked at the Calstar website and saw that they do list the 100J and the 100J mag. It sounds like a nice rod. I had just never seen one or talked to anyone who owned one.

The GF100J Magnum appears to be wrapped on the mandrel a few inches down from where they wrap the flag for the 100J. The tip on the 100J is about a 9/64". The tip on the magnum is still a 9. The butt diameter on the 100J is ~1.10 - 1.12". The 100J Magnum butt diameter is 1.21 - 1.23". The wall thicknesses vary as you go round from blank to blank from .045 - .055" on the 100J. The magnum might be .005-.008" thicker. It changes from blank to blank and they vary at different spots on the circumference. The magnum weighs about 25 grams heavier than the 100J.

None seem to have any more real back bone the the others. They all max out - a full pull bent to 90˚ - at 15-16#. None of them, glass, graphite, composite, T90J, T100J, BTG90J, BTG90JMag, GF100J, GF100JMag, or TGF100JMag are much different at full pull, and that's a bend well into the handle section. Calling any of them 50# rods is a real stretch. Pulling 17 or 18# asks a lot from these rods. Notice the rods below marked by Calstar 30-60#? Nope. No way. Good for 40#. Barely 50#. Never 60#.
