Here is a box I just shipped to Colorado, it is very pretty American Black Walnut and solid as a tank. See it on the Indy or waiting in line to board.

Must have been Vagabond, RS or Shogun. About 5% wood so I took the liberty to post. Solid as a rock as long as there is a lip to secure to.

Hey Guys... It’s Rosie from Cedros Sportfishing. My friend, Jeff Shapiro, encouraged me to share pictures of my new Tackle Box. I need something smaller that I can take on our plane down to Cedros. I really only need 3 Plano boxes.

So here’s what Mark Mayo built for me! I can’t even believe how gorgeous this is! Wonderfully handcrafted out of African Mohagany with every detail just perfect! The color, the size, the grain of the wood and how perfectly he matched the grain. He is a Master at his craft!

Bumping this thread to the top! Love all the boxes and display of true craftsmanship! So many cool designs.

Finished this one in time to deliver it to Ed Matibag at the Fred Hall Show on Thursday. It was on display at the Pacific Lures booth. Black cherry with box joint construction, removable jig tray, 2 sliding trays, can hold 3x 3600 Plano boxes (5 Plano's with the jig tray removed), marine shock cord in the lid to secure your spools of leader, and a custom stitched leather handle. The box is finished off with stainless steel hardware and quality spar varnish.

Epic Gabe, missed you at the show but definitely played around with this box at the booth, no clue at the time it was your work! Really really nice!

Well after seeing all of these beautiful works of art. I thought I would throw my first attempt out there. Basic old 1/2" plywood stainless hardware and 5 trays with dividers. I wanted it as light as possible. Box1.JPG Box2.JPG Box5.JPG [/ATTACH] Box6.JPG Box5.JPG Box6.JPG

Does anyone know where to get the brass corners from? I am restoring a box from 1954 that is painted black but I want to strip it and stain it and replace all the hardware.
