Looking to pick up my first bow this year and looking at recurve over compound. I like the take down aspect of it mostly. Friends are going to rib me for not getting a compound but maybe at a later date. I hope to work up to do some hunting eventually.
Anyways, looking for opinions regarding risers. There are some decent deals to be had on entry bows that I can grow with, but looking for input. Wood or metal riser? Is it mostly about feel or there's something else I'm missing? Thanks ahead of time.

Well if you get a metal riser it will probably have holes taped into it for things like sights and a quiver
