Wife and girls went to girlscouts camp, I went catching for 2 days.
10-14 caught a ride on the Liberty because I didnt want to do 2 days of private boating. Thats alot of work so I pampered myself... It was fairly slow with alot of dry patties and a full boat. Heads were hanging low and the captian left the lite boat traffic to find his own. First patty only produced a hand full of yft. And we moved on. At about 1230 the captain says to start the chum, more, More, LET IT GO! I throw a popper and get blown up and missed 4 times then Im on, Skippy. They were thick. The back of the boat was packed and 2 more Skips on the popper off the bow with some of the San Diego boat crew and I decide to go deeper. Flat fall gets me my first 2 yft and a hand full more skippies that I give away. Some of the guys started gettin the yft on the popper so I go back to the popper and we all have a blast. Fish blowin the sh#t up every other cast. I get 4 more on the popper and im done. Never even touch a bait. Great boat and crew. Double limits.
Day 2 I go out with my buddy Mizel and a friend of his, Ramone, on Ramones 18' bayrunner. Left MB with a nice 4-6" dean and headed to the 302. 70° 5 miles shy and we find a huge bait ball with nothin on them. Keep headin SW and fog bank rolls on us. 50 yard viz. F#ck there goes patty huntin. Put trollers out and move east of the 302 toward the 371. Fog lifts and Im on fire finding patties with Ramones binoculars. Most dry except 1 that we pull 2 small YT off of. Water still 69-70. No one around. Fog starts coming at use again and theres some radio chatter about the 425 and the 302. Fogs on us so we head back north to a radio call from a boat we talked with earlier in the morning. Hit the numbers but cant see nothin. Thought we were gonna find Skull Island. See 2 boats workin the same area and talk with both. The boat that limited earlier finaly gets with us but had already left. Tell us to just troll and we will find em. Sure as sh#t, fog lifts, one more boat in the area. We spot a small patty the same time a Skippy sees it to. We troll the left side and he trolls the right. They get a double knock down and we loop back to the other side of them and the patty and side drift with them as it goes WFO!!! Chunk, chum, and we are all bendo. Pure maddness for the next hour. 5 fish followers, boils, instant hookups, missed gaffing, broken lines, lines wrapping railings and rods and everything else, Mizel falling on his ass and rods snd me askin him what he was doing. It was awsome. Limits and more. 4 to 5 more boats joined and only one weiner jumped right in our chum line but it didnt even matter. I also got one on the popper but they really wanted the live bait. 30lb was not a problem. Might be my last off shore for the year but what a way to end it!!! Get out and share some #s.

Good working with you guys, we were the Skippy. It certainly went stoopid, they keyed in on the bottom of our boat and they just camped out underneath at 25 feet deep. Limits came fast. They hit every bait as soon as it hit the water. Got them on the Megabait too. Finally we stopped to clean up the mess and carnage, that a break, and they were still waiting for more.....
Go out there and find 'em guys, they were thick!
Thanks to the guy who gave out the numbers, while everyone else called bullshit on him.
He called it exactly as it played out!

Most were using madium haco blu mac and I was using a smaller 4.5 shimano on the Liberty but I went to the halco on Sundsy for one. Pop,pop, pause! They kill it on the pause.
