Finally got down to the club. Started the day with a banded cinnamon teal.

Went to breakfast after an uneventful fly off in the blind I had choose.

Came back and saw hundreds of birds trafficking in to one of the blinds with no one in it. Walked in and bumped a couple hundred teal. Did not shoot. Sat down and they all returned multiple times.

Jake was in another blind and had regular flavor birds.

It was rainy from 10am on and around 2pm the wind came up and huge balls of teal and sprig started moving around. Sprig were super decoy shy and never came in range for me but others limited out.

Nice birds - any tips on making table fare - I've stopped short of limits all season because poppers, sausage, etc all seem to taste worse then mackeral.

Soak the breasts in water until it’s pink, change water and repeat. Do this for about two days (keep refrigerated) and it will taste like steak. Try it

    I want to try this
    https://www.traegergrills.com/recipes/wild-game/duck-breast-bacon

By far the best recipe I’ve had yet. See Marcus’ salted duck https://www.bdoutdoors.com/forums/threads/how-to-wax-ducks.33480/#post-312413

My ass is kicked, whole body is frozen up from walking in the mud. I’m way outta shape!

99% of people that cook game, particularly duck over cook it and it tastes like shit.
Duck needs to be cooked RARE. It will taste just like steak. We breast them out, skin on, season with Montreal steak seasoning and cook RARE. I have fed them this way to people that hate wild duck and brought them to loving wild duck.
And if you don't like the taste, please don't hunt them. Leave them for people that want to eat them.

    NAILED IT!!!

It’s to bad the “all about me crowd” can’t remove head from ass and wake the fuck up.

If you don’t eat duck and other game you kill, STOP HUNTING!!!
    Or learn to cook.
