3 of us hunted the lower half of Wister today in sunny skies with little wind and we managed to scrape up a smorgasborg of 12 ducks during a long day. one of the previous posters a week back said the Us & Ts were shooting good so we took the hint and after a slow flyoff for us we saw steady action throughout the morning mostly on high flyers until 10-10:30 when they started to decoy better and our count increased. A little lull from 1-2PM but several bigger ducks came back from 230 to 4PM when we finished picking up. We ended up with 1 pintail, 2 Gads, 3 Spoons, 2 Cinnamons and 4 GWTs; all retreived by our 2 Shorthairs. Overall a great day and worth the effort; no sign of tow trucks needed on the refuge.
