Wind On Terminal Tackle

What are you using from your wind on to your feather, jig, nomad or??? Snap swivel, barrel swivel, solid ring or? I made a slew of wind ons in 60 to 300lb for a variety of set ups

I use a swivel at the top and a solid ring at the business end with a split ring or Hawaiian snap to attach the lure.

Really depends. If the windon is significantly heavier than the mainline a simple cinch knot, uni knot etc. or crimp works fine. When running 200lb wind on with 65lb braid mainline a double overhand will hold just fine.

If your wind on is similar or less than the main line then taking care to tie good knots is best.

When using 130lb or less mono I like tying a knot. Palomar is my favorite but a clinch knot works fine.
150-300 I’ll crimp it.
