Shitcan the diesel O/D package for outboards and you would have a great boat.

No love for the Volvo diesel or the OD? Or both?

I really like the Cummins with a straight shaft idea for my next boat. I’m guessing a bow thruster would be almost mandatory as well.

I think on the stern is a bait tank, with boat controls intergrated.
But yea the dance floor would be much better with a flush deck. Which I believe is an option from fallaron.

Hell!!!, when did outboards that have a hard time making it to 1000 hrs supplant diesel as the go to marine power plant.
Some of the new outboards cost more than a Volvo D6, and can't give a 1/4 of the service time nor fuel economy.
Fire-up my diesel engines a 4:00am, nothing sounds better.

Cool sled, but the doghouse needs to go. Twin f300 conversion isn’t worth the time or money.
Wait for it to blow up. Lol

The diesel motor isnt the problem.

The problem is the crappy drives connected to them. Straight shaft diesels over outboards.

diesel is great with a shaft. Diesel with a stern drive is suicide. They suck. And are always on the verge of failure. Especially a single set up in a big heavy boat that is borderline underpowered with 370 HP.

All outboards these days with the exception of ETEC are good for thousands of hours. I have gotten 4-5k hours out a few sets of 250hp Yamaha’s with no issues.

Let’s just say I have come by my opinion honestly. Run her easy, keep the oil fresh and keep a rabbits foot in your pocket. I hope V/P is gentle on you when they get in your knickers. You have been warned lol.
