    Wow, surprising nobody setup camp, put some tents on that thing and throw some lines... Better yet, they should figure a way to anchor that thing and make it the next FAD.....:rofl:

    shit, i'd use it as a new dock somewhere in kbay! Why sink it? It survived all the way over here and it's in tact... so it looks to be made solid! Sink it, artificial reef where? In 1,000 feet of water?

    No need to sink it, it would be one huge buoy if anchored, like all the other FADs floating in 1000+ feet....

    I found it a little strange that the "rubbish" has been floating for over a year and apparently it hasn't attracted pelagics like most rubbish drifting around that long would....no birds, no fish .....might as well sink em!

    That's funny, when my wife sent me that story of the "tragic" floating debris my first thought was to wonder how many mahimahi were hiding underneath, and could I get a boat close enough to cast a fly to the edge of it....... :)

    That floater was supposedly loaded with fish, just far out off the north shore.
