There are a good number of us here. You need to give us something to go on though. No info on it leads to no answers.

You have a model #? Missing that how about a length, butt and tip diameters?

You need to post some pictures of the blank. There are chocolate sabres, honey colored E glass blanks, yellow S glass blanks, cinnamon sabres plus the colored ones like red, blue and green etc.. The value can vary a lot depending on the model and the blank material, anywhere from $25 to hundreds of dollars.

I fully understand information is needed, I wanted to see if someone would chime in, the rod is rather short about 4 feet in length. Honey colored glass rated 30-80 lbs , both rear and fore grip about 10 inches, aluminum gimbal, the real seat says Sabre, all the guides are wrapped extremely well. Here are some pics 1990C597-02AA-4B65-92D4-9B17846C6A5B.jpeg 8F025F0F-99D2-4842-AC80-482722F352DB.jpeg 41EC1995-9741-476F-B9C5-9C91E6506034.jpeg 05A0D82C-D84A-4719-871D-E939A5235167.jpeg 65C7F908-A465-4644-9E6D-84F87B6DE6D8.jpeg

back in the day there were "panga sticks " by kencore. a lot of sabres were cut down and custom wrapped to copy them , I remember sabre even came out with some factory shorties , {that's what we called the rods}. that's either a cut down custom rod, or a rewrapped sabre factory shortie. not worth much, and not considered a legal sporting fishing rod.

Didn't Carl Newell have a bunch of shorties like this for his charters?
I was at the Newell plant when Carl was prepping for a trip and saw him put all his rods in the trunk of his El Dorado. Must have been 40 rods. Maybe he liked short rods because they travel easily!

I have the Sabre shown, bought it in the 80’s. It is still used occasionally and is a great old timer. It is the same line class, I imagine yours was a custom build though the reel seat and blank may or may not be of the same manufacture.
