Who is Coach in San Diego?

I fished with a guy named "Coach" many years ago on the Grande when the Albacore was still running around 2007 or 2008.

He was helpful telling people to step right. Took a lot of vitamins. I remember him being on it when people didn't move.

How is this guy doing now?

Oh my friend and I caught nothing for 2.5 days. Boat had 47 Albacore for 30 people.

There used to be a Coach’s Beefer charter on the RR III. He was a larger guy, and would have not been real nice getting people to move right. I never had a problem with him, but he grated some people the wrong way. I heard he passed away.

The "coach" I met, taller older guy who was apparently some kind of athletic coach who fished a lot of long range trips, walked up to me on a trip and looked me straight in the face and said...

"I am the best fisherman you will ever meet" to which I replied "I don't know about that but you are certainly the most obnoxious"....
