whiteseabass in san quintin,8/29/19.

mr ed actkingson and mr mike bell wanted one more go at the seabass in sq,so they stayd an extra day,we fish'd and fish'd for them but it was slow for us,other boats hade 2-3-4 fish moust fish in the 25 to 45 range,lots of birds and baite around,things lookd & felt great,we plug'd on,then at 11.30 bamm hook up,double,one got off,the one mr mike bell landed was huge,on our way home we stop'd by othere pangas and took fotos of there fish,slow but very good fishing and catching in sq,fishonnn&onnn.

this whiteseabass was 58 inches by 27 on the girth,howe big was it?please posted up,i thought it was about 70.

Based on what I discussed with DFG biologist girth x girth x length divided by 800 then add 20% to account for more girth at head and from belly to tail than the GxGxL/800 formula accounts for that fish is true beast at about 64lbs.

I’ve checked with a scale on several different species from 5-50lbs and the result has been that adding 20% is conservative and has occasionally been at the weight but usually under by 5-10%.

10% and that’s a legit 70 pound biscuit

Based on what I discussed with DFG biologist girth x girth x length divided by 800 then add 20% to account for more girth at head and from belly to tail than the GxGxL/800 formula accounts for that fish is true beast at about 64lbs.

We are heading down in October and stoping in San Quintin for a few days to fish I have my own boat but have never taken it there I want to hire a Captain to drive my boat
