Got out with the wife today, gentleman's start at around 0900 from Nado. Got to the whistler around 0930 or so, cloudy but clear skies, almost no wind, and small rolling swell. Water temps around 63 or so.

Found some new to me spots I wanted to try, drifted with some squid strips on a rockfish set up, and dropped a few yo-yos. Hooked up some nice checkers and a few rockfish (all returned to grow).

The wind kicked up around 11, headed into the bay to drift for butts, but struck out. Oh well, it beat being at work. Good times.

Thinking about heading west tomorrow to look for some paddies or something, anybody got any suggestions?

Well at least you took the wife along. I guess bonus points? LOL

I have a hard time deciding whether to take my wife or my girl friend, but it's a moot point anyway - as my wife won't go fishing and my girlfriend disappears when the alarm goes off!

    :D
