maybe kinda on the slow thinker side but...YOUTUBE is really your friend.

i never knew how to or thought about YOUTUBE for guidance for turks heads but recently spent hours looking and learning.

now, i just need the supplies for doing so. i did buy quite a bit of cord for handles at the highly recomended upside down rod tying supply place north of los angeles but lost the info.

any advice will be fully appreciated.

also, i always wanted to do fade wraps and YOUTUBE was my answer. other pros on this site did demos but i guess my mental slowness didn't allow me to pick up on it.

i thank you in advance.

Anyone's who'll take me.
You can buy Atwood chord online from Atwood way cheaper than any supplier. Template is easy. dowell and thumb tacks...

The most important tool for me is a hemostat.

It really helps when you get down to the last stages of tightening,
you can "open" the jaws to spread out the weave to get at the cord your'e after and have a positive bite to pull it tight.

I bought a similiar "Turk's Head Knot Jig", but I never got around to using it.

My Jig is simply a piece of 1x4 pine with six finish nails nailed onto it. Wrap around the nails in a certain pattern to form the first course, then pull it out of the jig, put it on your rod and continue wrapping the other courses. It's a simple turk's head. Nothing fancy.
