plan was 47 22x 125 15 ish - went there first - still pretty cool (58 F) and greenish - headed southwest as far 47 16 x 125 30 - better water, 60 F and and bluer and fished back to the SE from there. Saw a fair number of the right birds and a little bait but no jumpers or other signs of tuna presence. No takers on a good troll spread of 5 rods and a hand line with diver. Ran back in to Destruction Island and fished back up to coast for some consolation rockfish - but no lings.. Decent ocean before the big blow. 147 miles and 40 gallons = zero tuna/gallon. Your mileage may vary.

We found tuna out of LaPush yesterday 9/16. 8 of them. 47.04/125.20. No bites after 12pm. Fished until 5:30. Beautiful ocean.
Long day. I left gig harbor at 2:30 AM and got Home at 11:30PM

fished with my friend Rodger Ross and the Batson crew.

Nice work! Some very nice grade fish. Sounds like we missed em to the north and out maybe. Looking at yesterday's chloro shot - it was better where you were - not that it was great anywhere. We did a one day grinder from Port Townsend - but we pulled the plug out there after about 5 hours on the troll and made it home by 8:30 pm.
