Reading the Intrepid's post this morning he says their gamble to Flemish Cap paid off. I've never heard of it. Can anybody enlighten me?

Tongue in cheek, sarcasm at it's best. It was a bit rough, and they were at Hurricane bank.

In the movie, the Andrea Gale gets overambitious and fishes all the way out at the Flemish Cap during storm season. They fill their boat with swordfish, but lose everything attempting to get the fish home to market. See also "hubris" and "get-there-itis."

It's out by the Whirl Pools, takes some guts, most boats stay clear of in fear of being sucked in.
