I start to lean more towards crimping around 80lb and up. Flat falls or knife jigs I tend to crimp with heavy duty flouro to swivel instead of direct crimp or tie. Ultimately depends on what your going after.

Everyone is different and there is no black and white answer here.

I've seen people tie up to 130lb and some only go to 80lb. Dexterity, confidence in the knot (cinching and other limitations), etc will all play a factor in determining what's right for you.

If I were to give a black and white answer, I would only be able to do so for "heavy" line such as 150 or 200lb+. I've never seen or heard of anyone tying this diameter monofilament/flouro.
