Checking the temp charts and can't help but notice the rather large spot of warm water off of the West end of Catalina, kind of wondering what might be there?

Since you brought it up, Look at today's Chloro at San Onofre,
this is purple water up tight against shore,
the cows popped up off 6 miles off Oceanside earlier this week.
Somebody please work that area Saturday with the right gear.

They bit earlier last year at the same spot. We were 10 off that spot and heard about it later at the wash rack. I pretty much wanted to kill everyone bragging about it at the wash down in DP.

    Good times!
