Moooo!
Looking through some old rods I was given a few years back I found a two piece SilaFlex, 9’6” with handle, with an 8’ rod.
Rod says Silaflex Genuine Blank, S 80 R. Not sure on the line rating, feels like a 15-20lb stick.

I was thinking about either restoring it, wood handle and all, catch a fish or two n it then hang on the wall, or removing the handle and extension and wrapping the 8’ section. But in reality I don’t need anymore 8’ 15-30 class rods.

any thoughts? I‘m not ruining a rare or valuable rod right? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rewrap it and use it for that annoying family member who is always borrowing your gear.

I have a rod that "clicks" during the cast. It's a loose guide but I can't figure out which one, it only makes the click during the cast. It's been semi-retired to "guest gear" cause if I fish it again myself, it's goin' in the drink.

Are the guides braced?
