    that's perfectly fine. but shooting 5.56 through a .223 chamber is no bueno.

    Not true in all cases. Some are rated for both, like the Ruger Mini 14 and many, many others.

    Really? well there ya go, I learned something today. i'll i ever read is that 5.56 cannot be fired in a .223 chamber. thanks!

    I'm curious and don't keep up on gun laws. I have an AR-15A2 (1985 or so) that was registered prior to the original ban during the Deukmejian days. I've never re-registered it or anything since that time and I still have the original letter. Is it still legal? I know I can't sell it in California.
