So a few years ago I was on a long rang trip and was having a very bad fishing day. I could do nothing right! Either I got sawed off, line broke or it just came unbuttoned. I could not land a fish to save my life.
I know we all have been there, but how do we react? Well I did a very poor job. Take a look at the video below and you will see what I mean.
This occurred about 5 years ago and I can laugh about it now, but at the time of the "incident" I was at wits end.
I am leaving on 9/30 for my 7 day trip and I always reflect on the words of wisdom and encouragement that sometimes your the nail, and other times your the hammer.
I more than made up for the lost fish, but I thought I would share this..........

I can't imagine behaving like that, much less posting a video of it.

At some point in life we all do or say things that we wish would not have happen. If you have not done something in the past that you wish you had not done then great. We are all imperfect and make mistakes. For me the key is to learn from my mistakes and not do them again. I share the video not to be condemned, but to have a good laugh.

Depending on his angling skill, that may become expensive!

That was awesome. Thanks for the humility and sharing. Was having a similar morning on a 3-day a few weeks back. Told the deckhand that I was 0-5 and he said don't move, will be right back. He brought me a beer which I drank and I subsequently put 4 fish in the boat in the next 30 minutes.

Takes a big man to admit his faults - and then put video evidence on a blog for thousands to see!
    I applaud you, sir.

Your not alone, One time after getting sawed off (4 fish in a row)on the same rod and reel, I launched my set up in to the drink. Don't let it get to you at the heat of the moment. $1000.00 mistake, Plus I acted like a Jack Ass for pitching it.

I had a 332 P-series Newell blow apart on me, complete failure, cracked frame. I was so frustrated I chucked the entire outfit over the side. That was a Truline LM 7 out the 60's that went over the side. Wish I still had it.

I used to do that when I played golf, I have snapped clubs in half, half the golf courses in southern California have some of my clubs in the water traps, and ponds. I don't play golf anymore!

Many years back, I donated a Shimano setup off Capo Beach. I instantly regretted it. LOL Not a hi-end setup, but still set me back $350.

I'm guilty just not with Fishing... playing softball with my brand new hat I had 6 mis hits that resulted in outs in a row so I shattered it on the fence post.... 300.00 down the drain
