Had a guy try to drag one my trip because apparently last year one got torn apart it did so well. Our trip he tried using it while traveling and it was dragging too much so he had to bring it in(needed crew help). I don't think he put it out on his regular serious wahoo troll rotation.

Was it digging in too hard or flopping all over in the wake? These things definitely seem like they need the low gear for retrieving.

Thanks for all the tips. I boated 6, handed one off to an older guy who hadn’t caught one, and lost one to a hook pull.
What worked, blue and chrome 6x jr on the slide. Titanium wire 40 and 50 lb. One troll fish in an orange purple back. For trolling at the rocks the hot color was purple and for the ridge it was orange. For wire fishing the trick for me was to butt hook a sardine and when they swam out and down I would long soak it while holding my rod up high to avoid the tangles. My bait would be out and around the rest of the guys most times. The raider and bombs worked for some guys but not for me. The 6x jr on the slide was hot. I only wished that I would have fished it sooner. I think that it was more of a confidence thing but the wahoo really went after it.
