What are your favorite species to catch and eat in san Diego. Inshore and islands.

I've been fishing for many years but always released. Was never a huge fish eating fan. But the last few years I've started to really enjoy fish. I find myself only ordering fish when me and my wife go out to eat. So I'm interested to here form other angles what there favorite is and even what there least favorites are.

Thanks.

My favorites are the bottom critters-rockfish,lingcod,sculpin,and whitefish, always good no matter how you cook it.The tunas are good also, the one i dont really care for is yellowtail,i dont understand the fascination with it,its a member of the jack family which is known to not be good eating.
