I'm with you there. It's usually bring your own drink and bring food to share. The captain doesn't have to bring anything :)

If you have a Sprouts/Whole Foods/etc nearby, you can get good beef jerky without all the salt. It's pretty much a straight shot of protein and you can shake it out of the bag into your mouth if your hands are a mess. If I'm not leaving at the ass crack of dawn, I usually take a double scoop protein shake knowing I can take a shit at the Dana Point Marina offices (they also have super cheap ice). Learned the hard way to not assume they were open just because the gate let us into the parking lot.

Protein! Get a nice base for the day. Eggs, meat, etc. Protein shakes will blow your ass out most def. Taking a dump at sea sucks, especially a juicy one.

    Lunch:
Homemade Sammie, chips, fruit (not a banana), cheese, water.
Left overs are also rad if they can be cold or at room temp.

    Snacks:
    jerky, granola, trail mix, water.

Tasty tip - if the fish aren't eating show them how. LOL

Well imma keep these on the boat so I don’t have to pack a lunch when I go. Oh, and plenty of salt and Tabasco.
Basically just grab my rods, ice and go. Everything else is on the boat ready to go.
