Saturday ,3/7/15 , on the tribute 20# and 25# flouro got the most bites. 30 got bit when they brailled the chum. Dogs are everywhere. 25# flouro got a lot of bites and gave the most pulling power. I think ,I got the most hooked fish on that trip on 20# ,but another guy landed one more than me , he was using 25#. I lost 3 of 6 to the dogs.

Good luck and tight lines.........BD

Good advise from "Bondrvr"; I fished on the Tribute a few weeks ago. The BFT were skittish on that trip, so I stayed with 15 lbs. flouro. If the dogs are as bad as it sounds, I would go up to 25 lbs. flouro. The yollows are larger now, try a blue and chrome iron, that way you might pick up a BFT as well. Good Luck.

Just booked the GF and myself on the TUNA WARS trip for bluefin, with Paul Hebert and Dave Marciano. This sounds like a blast. Come on boys and girls ,let's get some TALENT on this trip, make it a real competition......

If you are going to the Cortez bank. Light 15# flouro and small hooks #2's. They have been very line shy. And the sealions have been brutal.

Then your 30 and 40 pound outfits for dropper loop. 50 and 60# for yoyo.

Good luck and have fun.

Don't worry about them yet because Mexico says right now no season for blue fin this year Nd if they don't come up to US waters they'll be catch and release only. If they do come to US water great if you want to spend big dollars for a couple of fish.
