Went out yesterday from shelter island. Boat ramp looked like Memorial Day at the river. Got some but kinda small on the weaker side . Headed to the 302 found a parking lot of boats. Shout out to the other Grady white fishing by the tribute. Saw him at the ramp we got on the radio an he let us fish by him. Bam...... I’ve always wanted to say it was wide open and it was. Small hooks and 20-30 and it was non stop. Just my dad and i. He got a 45 pounder (yft) on his second fish. Everyone was super cool to each other on The radios an helping each other out which was a nice surprise. Gotta thank everyone one here, i kept crying with my skunked stories an everyone said keep fishing. It was the best day I’ve ever had on my boat. I even had a sixty pound set up get nailed. Took two pieces of chum and they would come immediately. We were south of the 302. It got choppy but we were out of there at 1 with limits. An only used a quarter tank. Still can’t get over it lol. Just when i was over it I’m hooked again.
