After some good trips last week we tried to keep the ball rolling on some local popper eating yellowfin/bluefin. Started off the morning watching a swordfish cruise next to the boat just 5 miles from the point(in the video). We arrived 5 miles SW of the Nados at noon to the sight of foam. My friend proceeded to hang 6 fun size yellowfin on the Shimano Orca Popper stick bait, while I in the meantime missed all 5 bites on the popper. We fished that zone until 2 pm when we had to call it quits because the gf was blowing chunks. We were well on our way to limits for us two but I really felt bad for her and didn't want to make her wait while we finished it off. Also got one good yellowtail on a breezer of nice yellows under a bird pile. It ate the stick bait too. Seemed like one foamer had some bluefin in it but the rest were all school grade yft. We also didn't troll because we got tired of winding it in with constant foamers around us. And, no temp gauge on the boat right now so I don't have that info. The ocean was pretty snotty compared to the last few weeks, definitely fishable but also quite miserable at times!
