Saltwater Westport salmon windmills

View attachment 618457 Fished Saturday with dad and nieces husband. Left the dock headed South towards windmills. Starting fishing in the fog in about 60 fow. Divers and cut plug on all rods nothing happening. Moved into 30 fow fog started to lift and realized we had lots of company. Ended up with 5 kings and a silver. Decided to stay the night and fish till 9:30 due to mother in law birthday party couldn't miss that. Picked up 2 nice kings and our largest silver of the year so 3 in the box for 3 hrs of fishing. Plus we had a awesome bite going on and lost 3 others that just didn't stick it was a blast. Have been fishing deep all year. Wasn't sure how we'd do on south beach haven't fished for Willapa fish in years usually out in front of casino if fishing beach. Final count killed 7 kings 2 silvers not bad for a day and morning of fishing. Doing tuna on Thursday forecast looks good but hearing fish are moving south way south.

Ya Josh that was me but Bob is the Captain and put us on the fish. They seemed very concentrated but likely milling about during the tide change.

The king season just wont quit. Nice fish. The westport fishery blows me away, Tuna... Check. Kings...check. Coho...check. Like disneyland for anglers. The new seahawk fish boxes are badass.
