    Hi,

Can you explain the differences in these regional actions?

    Thanks.

Some of the actions may be similar. West coast rods tend to be longer and have faster actions. The southeast and northeast rods are pretty much the same for offshore applications. The inshore applications vary a lot. This is because of the targeted species and lures or bait being used.

A rod for redfish and trout will be very different than a rod made for striped bass. A tarpon rod will be different than a rod used to catch fluke. I think you get the idea.
