Decided to join the fleet and got rewarded with fun yellowtail fishing and a surprise guest to boot. Our best results came on drifts, too many boats would run them right over or push them down while driving 20knots to reset through the entire crowd. :supergay: We got lucky a few times during drifts to have them come up so close to the boat.

Day 1: Sloowwww, dirty green water. My buddy got lucky with a fish on the blind surface iron cast. Went 31lbs.

Day 2: Not many too many boats and weird weather but this was the best day. Fish went 27,37, and 48. All on the jigs. We did not have any luck with fly line or dropper looped macs. Running and gunning was hard to do.

Day 3: Saw em early but again, the boats ran them all over. Lost 1 on the yoyo and got one on the dropper loop. 2016-03-24 03.05.32 pm.jpg

Day 4: Showed up early and hung a double on the dropper loop early before the fleet showed up and pushed the fish down. IMG_0555.jpg View attachment 751707

    Wow!!

What a spring break, you guys did VERY well!

With regards to the sonar shot, I see all the fish middle of the screen, but what is all the returns right above the bottom (60ft and below..)? Bait? Kelp? Maybe it's obvious, I'm just trying to learn... Thanks!

That is kelp. If i switch over to the down scan it shows it more clearly.

Ahhh alright thanks! Hence where the value of downscan can come in very handy, lets you see some of that stuff easier! But I guess the most important thing is seeing the fish, all those little worm lines in the middle! Awesome!

Nice fish and all but you never said where they were caught in your "report".
    I'm guessing the "Pacific Ocean"?
    Good job fellas!
