Generally speaking, conditions are improving and anglers are having a lot of fun out on the water. Scott McGuire, Matt Lytz, Nathan Webb & Keith Carnes, a group of friends from Austin Texas fished aboard the Calereste with crew members Julio Cota and Cristofer Avilés. With sardines, mullet and cabalito for bait, they brought in a nice dorado and released four rooster fish outside the marina in La Ribera.

Next time out they teamedup, with Scott and Matt, this time aboard El Cazador, they had a blast catching and releasing more than 10 rooster fish and 8 jack cravalle. Keith and Nathan fished aboard Regina and also had a huge release day landing 10 rooster fish, 4 skipjacks and 4 jack cravalle.

Steve Channon, Scott Easton, Jill Gravatt and Mikki Crump fished aboard the Vagabundo. Their crew team, the Cota brothers, Chayo and Santy, found a huge school of dolphin and chased it in hopes of tuna, but no luck. They saw whales, manta’s, turtles, sharks and a few marlin on the surface. They tried around the buoys for dorado, jigged along the bottom and caught a bit of everything including white bonita, cabrilla and skipjacks.
